Lynn Sun, M.D.

Dr. Sun completed a B.A. at the University of California, Berkeley, with double majors in Molecular Cell Biology and English Literature. She then received a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences at Stanford University and continued on to medical school at Loyola University Chicago, where her interests in neural connectivity, vision and microsurgery led her to Ophthalmology. After a residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, she completed a fellowship in Glaucoma at the University of Michigan, and then joined the Oregon Health and Science University’s Casey Eye Institute, where she introduced numerous novel microsurgical techniques in glaucoma and taught clinical and surgical ophthalmology and glaucoma to trainees of all levels. After four years on faculty, she moved to Vancouver, Washington and joined the long-established practice of Vancouver Eye Care in order to better serve the wonderful people of Southwest Washington.
Originally from San Diego, Dr. Sun loves the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and enjoys hiking and kayaking in her free time. She loves dimsum, off-the-beaten-path travel, amateur astronomy, and piano. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and would love to learn Russian and/or Spanish!
